Description

Ulva pruniformis Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1164. 1753.

"Habitat in lacubus Sueciae, Borussiae." RCN: 8373.

Neotype (Drouet in Beih. Nova Hedwigia 57: 26. 1978): Germany. "In lacu qui Hollandermeer appellayur prope Jeveram," G.H.B. Jürgens, in Jürgens, Alg. Aquat. 15: 8 (1822), annotated by E. Bornet (PC).

Current name: Nostoc commune Vaucher (Nostocaceae).

Note: In the absence of any original material for the name, Drouet’s indication of type material is accepted as a neotypification (Art. 9.8).
