Description
Betula glutinosa (Linnaeus) Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 10, 2: 1265. 1759.

Basionym: Betula alnus L. var. glutinosa L. (1753).
Lectotype (Jonsell & Jarvis in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 152. 1994): Herb. Burser XXIII: 8 (UPS).
Current name: Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn. (Betulaceae).
