Lectotype (Bean in Telopea 7: 248. 1997): Osbeck s.n., Herb. Linn. No. 505.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Baeckea Linnaeus.
Current name: Baeckea frutescens L. (Myrtaceae).
Note: See comments on provenance of the type sheet by Hansen & Fox Maule (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 67: 205. 1973).
