Description
Mespilus chamaemespilus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 479. 1753.
"Habitat in Alpibus Austriacis, Pyrenaicis." RCN: 3657.
Lectotype (Aldasoro & al. in Syst. Bot. Monogr. 69: 118. 2004): Herb. Burser XXIII: 74 (UPS).
Current name: Sorbus chamaemespilus (L.) Crantz (Rosaceae).
Note: Specific epithet spelled "Chamae Mespilus " in the protologue.
