Ipomoea tuberosa Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 160. 1753.

Lectotype (Austin in Woodson & Schery in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 62: 182. 1975): Herb. Linn. No. 219.4 (LINN).

Current name: Merremia tuberosa (L.) Rendle (Convolvulaceae).
