Foucault + Althusser. Apuntes sobre su recepción en México

Resumen: En este texto se presenta una vertiente concreta que acompañó la recepción del teórico Michel Foucault. Enmarcado en un dominio relativo del marxismo como corriente teórica crítica, el francés pasó por el tamiz de una de las principales vertientes de dicha tradición: la que se asocia al nombre de Louis Althusser. Una línea distinguible de los lectores del filósofo argelino-francés trajo consigo también la gramática foucultiana, sus intereses y blancos de crítica. Foucault fue incorporado plenamente entre aquellos que, dentro del marxismo, preferían a Althusser por sobre la versiones humanistas o historicistas. El texto muestra las vicisitudes de las preocupaciones de sus lectores, los momentos de “bloqueo” o de traducción hacia intereses diversos.

Abstract: This text presents a specific aspect that accompanied the reception of the theorist Michel Foucault. Framed in a relative domain of Marxism as a critical theoretical current, the French underwent the sieve of one of the main aspects of this tradition: that associated with the name of Louis Althusser. A distinguishable line of readers of the Algerian-French philosopher also brought with them Foucultian grammar, his interests and targets of criticism. Foucault was fully incorporated among those who, within Marxism, preferred Althusser over the humanist or historicist versions. The text shows the vicissitudes of the concerns of its readers, the moments of “blocking” or of translation towards diverse interests.
