Description
Pisodonophis semicinctus (Richardson 1848) —Saddled snake eel
Taxonomy. New record from Lebanon, based on a specimen collected from off Tripoli (11 October 2017). Material in collection: AUBM (OS3972).
Distribution. Mediterranean Sea and eastern Atlantic.
Conservation. IUCN: Global (LC: 14 March 2011); Med. (NE). Capture and threats: Unknown. Occurrence: Very rare. Low priority for conservation action.
