Current status: Menopon interpositum Ansari, 1951.
Type host: Francolinus pondicerianus interpositus Hartert.
Type locality: Faisalabad [as Lyallpur, Punjab], Pakistan.
Type material: Holotype male (labelled as “ TYPE ”) and allotype female are deposited in the NHML [slide NHML010659659] and one paratype female also deposited in the NHML [slide NHML010659660].
