Ewangelia na ekranie: kąkol wśród pszenicy?

Cinematic adaptations of the Bible, particularly of the Gospels, have always been interesting for producers and public. Films, according to Magisterium of the Church, can also be instruments of the evangelization. However, because of commercial reasons of the film production, theologians should be aware of the transformation of the source texts (the Gospels) and of the figure of Jesus Christ in the films. The theologians’ efforts shouldn’t be limited to a simple indication of theological errors in the films (e.g. The Shack). Much more important is a dialogue with the public, based upon the film education, which creates both cinematic and theological competences.
