Description
Protocol describing in details the procedure to sterilize all the components of the IVTech bioreactor. Briefly they were autoclaved and the entire experiment was performed under a laminar flow hood. Membranes were conditioned keeping them in ethanol 70% for two hours and exposed to UV light for 15 min, before cell seeding. The hood surface was cleaned with the same detergents normally used to sterilize materials employed in cell cultures.
