Theoretical and methodological foundations of logistics integration
Authors/Creators
Description
The purpose of the article: the development of theoretical and methodological provisions for the
implementation of the integration approach in logistics.
Methodology of work. The study used methods of generalization, systematization, grouping.
Results of work. Modern views on logistics as a scientific field of research, as a concept (view) and
as an art of management are generalized.
The system of functions and tasks of logistics is presented. The concept of logistics integration
has been developed as an inter–organizational and intra–organizational integration of individual logistics
operations and logistics functions of participants in the logistics process in order to effectively organize
the process of material flow from supplier to end consumer with the lowest total cost.
Systematized basic principles of logistics chain management, which include the principle of compliance
of demand for supply of logistics services; a clear sequence of implementation of a set of logistics
operations; resource, operational and functional consistency of logistics processes; mutual benefit of economic
interests of all participants of the logistics chain; complexity of logistics services; synchronicity
of logistics processes to ensure predictability of their implementation; optimality of all types of resources
for the implementation of logistics processes (material, human, time, information, etc.).
The reasons of logistic integration are generalized. Logistics integration drivers have been identified,
which are the introduction of software and hardware, high competencies of logistics system
management, innovative technologies.
Identified levels of logistics integration: the level of logistics operations and the level of logistics functions
