Authors/Creators
- 1. Department of Zoology, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan
Description
Species of genus Chrotogonus are known as surface grasshoppers which are polyphagous pest, multi-verses, terricolous
and one of the common grasshopper species found in small grasses, bushes and often in crops (rice, maize, millet and
cotton, etc.). Species belonging to genusChrotogonuscover vast area in various countries of the old world (Africa and Asia)
including India and Pakistan. This review provides lacks and benefits of previous research work along with distribution,
biodiversity, biology, economic loss and current taxonomic status of genus Chrotogonus.
