At the beginning of external comercial activity of the Republic of Moldova: institutional and legislative dimension

The changes in the political-legal status of the Moldovan RSS at the end of the 80s – the beginning
of the 90s of the last century, namely the adoption of the Declaration regarding the sovereignty of the republic
and the Declaration of independence of the country, also required commercial-economic changes. The Government
and the Parliament of the Republic received several decisions aimed at ensuring the process of external
commercial collaboration, decisions regarding the formation of associations for external commercial activity, the
improvement of the activity of the Chamber of Commerce and industry, the legalization of the joint ventures, the
creation of own customs bodies, the formation of the Ministry of external economic affairs, legislative adoption
regarding the development of external commercial relations, etc. As a consequence, in the first years of existence
of the independent state, the necessary legal basis for the development of the foreign trade of the Republic of
Moldova was established.
