High transverse momentum direct photons in p+Au collisions in PHENIX at RHIC
Description
Poster presented at the Quark Matter 2019 conference.
High transverse momentum (pT) direct photons are penetrating probes in relativistic heavy ion collisions: once produced, they leave the collision region virtually unaffected, even if a hot,dense partonic medium was formed. PHENIX results are presented.
