Description
The coffee berry borer is a threat to coffee production in Papua New Guinea. This poster was created in 2015 to enable accurate identification of the pest species Hypothenemus hampei, the coffee berry borer, which was already present in West Papua in 2015. The pest was detected in 2017. There are many similar bark beetles in Papua New Guinea, including some that occasionally bore into coffee.
