(a) A mite in a drop of water with white spots on the dorsal surface (arrows); (b) Another, larger, mite in a drop of water revealing a small white flock on the posterior portion of the idiosoma (arrow); (c) A mite engaging with an extremely large flock association at its venter (arrowhead). Note the hardly distinguished possible detachment of the colourless threads from the dorsal body surface (arrow) forming figures of balls; (d) The balls of threads containing also inclusions of additional organic substances. Scale bars = 1 mm.
