Description
Analysis of available domestic and foreign scientific sources indicates that along with life threating complications developing in coronovirus infection (COVID-19), such as: acute respiratory viral infection (affecting only the upper respiratory tract); pneumonia without respiratory failure; pneumonia; ARDS; sepsis; septic (infectious-toxic) shock; hypoxemia (SpO2 reduction less than 88%), more than 30% of patients, develop skin lesions: 1) skin manifestations similar to viral exanthemas, developing as a result of an immune response to viral nucleotides; 2) secondary skin manifestations that are a consequence of exposure to the SARS COV2 virus on the microcirculatory bed (vasculitis and thrombotic vasculopathy).
In addition, patients with COVID-19 are more at risk of some drug reactions that manifest as skin lesions at any time of treatment. Early diagnosis of skin manifestations associated with severe forms of COVID-19, as well as possible drug reactions and appropriate patient management strategies are important for improving the effectiveness of treatment/
