The mortality rate (8.6%) and recovery rate (80.8%) of SARS are higher than that of COVID-19 (3.3% and 60.6%). However, the COVID-19 pandemic has a longer duration, spread to more countries (world-widely vs. 10 countries), infected a lot more people (16,346,398 vs 16,864), and claimed many more lives (887,338 vs. 1,626).
