A Geographical Analysis on Land Use Pattern Changes in Minbya Township of Rakhine State

Description

This geographic study is an attempt to analysis the changes of land use patterns in Minbya Township of Rakhine State. The changes of land use types are obtained from Department of Agriculture and Land Records Department of Minbya Township. The study area has changed in patterns of land use (2003-04 – 2012-13) due to the pressure of growing population i.e. agricultural land, fuel and wood. The main objectives of this thesis are: (1) to observe the physical and human bases conditions in Minbya Township, (2) to evaluate the extent of land use patterns changes in Minbya Township, (3) to assess the causes and the impacts of land use pattern changes in Minbya Township.
