A Geographic Analysis of the Agriculture Development within Bago Township

This research paper identifies the present condition of agricultural development in Bago
Township. Since agricultural development is primarily depends on such physical factors as
relief, climate and soils relationship between these factors and the possibility of agricultural
intensification is explored. To indentified the agricultural intensity of the study area, horizontal
expansion, vertical expansion which indicates multiple cropping converage as well as cropping
intensity are analyzed together with the major crops grown and their land holding capacity,
using essentially secondary data and relevant statistical method and illustrating with maps and
diagram.
