Type genus. Cicada (Parnisa) Stål 1862a: 21.

REMARKS. Species of Parnisini possess eyes not or barely projecting beyond anterior angles of the more or less subquadrate pronotum, and abdomen shorter than the distance between apex of postclypeus and posterior cruciform elevation (Distant 1905e; Moulds 2005).
