Blend electrospinning, coaxial electrospinning, and emulsion electrospinning techniques

Electrospinning techniques are among the key fiber forming technologies with potential in medical and technical industries. However, besides their unique characteristics, such as high surface-to-volume ratio, fibrous structure resembling extracellular matrix, and high number of interconnected pores; the electrospun structures find their roles also in delivery of diverse active molecules. This chapter is dealing with different encapsulation modes and their advantages for encapsulation of diverse classes of active molecules.
