Description

Project Spectra is a voice training app for transgender people. It is built in NativeScript-Vue.js; the current release is only compatible with Android devices. The app contains four exercises, warmups, pitch tracking and feedback, and customizable goal-setting. It was built by Project Spectra, an online collective interested in vocal gender modification software, as part of a community-based collaborative design project. The project was initiated by Alex Ahmed as a component of her doctoral dissertation work at Northeastern University. Significant development, design, and ideation work was conducted by Bryan Kok, Coranna Howard, Klew Still, and the many other members of Project Spectra's Discord community.
