Understanding metadata management in longitudinal studies
Description
This training formed part of a two-day CLOSER workshop held in September 2019 which explored how structured metadata and open standards, particularly the Data Documentation initiative (DDI) standard, can be used to actively manage longitudinal study data and resources.
The training covered:
- Introduction to metadata management concepts
- DDI overview
- Questions and questionnaires
- Datasets and variables
- Theory to practice (including; infrastructures, tooling and controlled vocabularies)
