Metapelma Westwood, 1835: 69. Type species: M. spectabile Westwood. By monotypy.

Halidea Förster, 1856: 31. Type species: H. nobilis Förster. Subsequent designation by Bouček (1988b: 547) (see Gibson 1989: 82); synonymy by Ashmead (1896: 5).

Halidayella Dalla Torre, 1897: 281. Unjustified emendation of Halidea Förster.
