ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the assets quality of Indian banking sector. The author has analyzed the assets quality with the help of selected ratios such as  Gross NPAs to Net Advances, Net NPAs to Net Advances, Total Investment to Total Assets. The present study is concerned mainly with the performance of the banks for the study period 2001-02 to 2007-08. The statistical result are obtained by using the Mean, Standard Deviation and Co-efficient of Variation..
