Description
Scina curilensis Vinogradov, 1956
Southwest Atlantic: 1090433, 9/718, [56.958°S 33.775°W], 1307 m; 1090434, 9/738, [53.275°S 38.058°W], 778 m. Southeast Pacific: 1090440, 10/796, [65.2°S 82.425°W], 3294 m; 1090441, 10/792, [64.033°S 82.817°W], 1501–1720 m. Southwest Pacific: 1090450, 11/890, [59.658°S 114.617°W], 595– 609 m.
Remarks: Prior to my record from the Tasman Sea (Zeidler 1998), this species was known only from the North-west Pacific Ocean, mainly from 100–200 m depth. Thus, all of the above are new records for the Antarctic Zone of the Southwest Atlantic and Pacific Sectors.
