SourceSpec – Earthquake source parameters from S-wave displacement spectra

Description

SourceSpec is a collection of Python programs to determine earthquake source parameters (seismic moment M0, corner frequency fc) and the anelastic attenuation term (t), from the modelization of waveform spectra.

Other parameters (source radius r0, stress drop Δσ) are computed from the inverted ones. The quality factor Q is determined from t.

As a bonus, local magnitude Ml is computed as well.

Documentation is available on sourcespec.readthedocs.io.
