Vers l'institutionnalisation de la solidarité à Madagascar. Un regard sur le "Conseil du Fampihavanana malagasy" (CFM)

Authors/Creators

Description

Since 2013 a new constitutional institution exists in Madagascar. First named “Malagasy Reconciliation Committee” (CRM) or “Filankevitry ny Fampihavanana Malagasy” (FFM), it was recently renamed as part of a restructuring and is now called “Conseil du Fampihavanana Malgasy” (CFM) . The birth of this institution is linked, on the one hand, to the political events since 2009 in Madagascar, and to the structures of reconciliation on the African continent, where they were created after serious crises in a number of countries. At the same time, it seems the expression of a very long and specifically Malagasy development, linked to the idea of fihavanana (solidarity), regularly seen as a central norm by the population and by the actors of the Big Island. With my speech, I would first of all contextualize the CFM by linking it with the history of solidarity in Madagascar, and then develop the institution of the CFM more precisely, i.e. describe their task, their work and then the current changes underway.
