Resource aspect of concepts of economic geology
Authors/Creators
Description
The subject of the study is the informative mapping of geological features and processes with
them as natural and economic resources.
The purpose of this article is to develop some theoretical propositions that treat economic
geology as a resource science.
Methodology of work - the method of abstract-logical analysis (in determining the system of
concepts and indicators of geological-resource information); monographic analysis (when using the
resource approach), comparison and generalization (when forming conclusions and proposals).
Results of work. Conducting explorations of geological information, according to literary sources,
substantiates the notion of the geological resource field, which should be considered theoretically and
practically as a resource, reflecting the resource and economic side of minerals, their deposits and
other geological objects and processes with them. That is, it explores geological and economic objects,
generally called the ones we need of natural origin. Mineral deposits are considered as a production
resource object, a source of mineral raw materials (for its further use in the production of industrial
products). Geological and economic needs are studied in the process of exploration of subsoil geology,
that is, substantively and in some respects, mineral deposits as production objects, for exploitation
in further economic and production activities with minerals; information is generated to determine
the complex of production (technical, economic, economic, financial and other) indicators of geological
enterprises (exploration), mining companies (mining), processing enterprises (eg, metallurgical, coal,
energy) belonging to objects of national ownership.
Conclusions - Our applied scientific geological-resource branch should be considered theoretically
and practically as due to resource science, which combines the study and geological assessment and
the reflected economic evaluation of subsoil objects and processes with them, ie natural in origin and
as economic origin objects. Geological and economic needs are explored in the process of exploration
of the subsoil, ie on the basis of: origin as natural objects; by use as economic objects (minerals can
be mined goods, raw materials; the field is used as a production object), etc.; reflected in content or
in certain indicators, mineral deposits as production objects, for the purpose of exploitation in further
economic and production activities with minerals.
