Description

The spark ignition model has been extensively investigated in a number of studies in the past and is well understood. However, the complexity of ignition process brings a lot of difficulties to correctly describe a whole physical model. Many RANS and LES studies of this phenomenon have been carried out in a certain accuracy depending on the simplifications and physically reasonable assumptions. In order to comprehensively describe spark ignition process we propose to combine specific sub-models describing individual phenomena of the spark ignition into one ignition model.
