Description

In this project, we analyzed the geographical distribution of heart disease mortality rates by county.

Key findings:

•High mortality rates are scattered throughout the country, however, the counties located in the South-East region of the U.S. show clusters of notably high mortality rates.

•Counties located in the North-East region of the U.S. appear to have lower mortality rates than much of the country.

•The most notable relationship between income per capita and heart disease mortality rate is in the south-eastern region of the united states.

•The distribution of average heart disease mortality rates across the U.S. is similar for males and females.

•Heart disease mortality rates are the highest for black individuals and Asian and Pacific Islanders.

•Heart disease mortality rates are also high for white individuals.

•Heart disease mortality rates are the lowest for Hispanic individuals
