This article emphasizes a current issue of modern education, the one of interdisciplinary tea- ching and learning. There are speci$ied the most important positive effects of applying interdisciplinarity in educational practice, and also the main obstacles which impede applying this principle on a large scale. This article provides examples of content level connections between mathematics discipline, chemistry, physics and biology
