Description

Models describing the coupled heat, moisture and salt transport in porous building materials require a large number of model parameters. Not all parameters can be experimentally determined with high degree of accuracy and certainty. The article shows the influence of various salt related parameters depending on the application scenario on coupled heat, moisture and salt transport processes. This includes the application of the model to simulate various laboratory experiments. The sensitivity of the main processes examined in the experiments on salt related parameters is shown. The model is also applied to real-life simulation cases.
