Description

This ongoing work aims to provide citation information for users of DSpace repositories. Its scope is on Lume's journal article community - which has knowledge areas as collections - and its citations within this community. This community may point the citation increasing of articles published in scientific journals and available in institutional open access repositories. The Extract Transform Load (ETL) approach consists of three steps: (1) - Data collection; (2) – Citations discovery; and (3) - Load processed data. From the process, for example, one can explore a specific period, areas of knowledge, and groups of authors. It can provide relevant information to users about a particular type of document or author; as well as how, when and where the citation occurred in documents. The disclosure of these results aims the encouragement of the deposit of works in open access IR and its usage.
