Promoting Change and CDIO Implementation at CSUN
Description
This paper describes the key organizational, cultural, and programmatic change
processes for adapting and utilizing CDIO as a framework to: (a) systematically
reform and implement a new sequence of design courses in the Department of
Mechanical Engineering at the California State University, Northridge; and (b)
evaluate the effectiveness of the courses in improving student performance and
retention, while taking into account unique characteristics of the
Department's diverse student population.
