Benchmarking Archivematica for CERN scale

Presentation on scaling Archivematica during the 2019 Archivematica Camp in Geneva. In this presentation, we present part of the CERN digital memory project: a project that aims to preserve CERN's digital heritage. We discuss the scale of the CERN data and the challenges that we face in offering an Archival service to CERN researchers. After this, we discuss our experience in scaling out Archivematica. This includes the evaluation of running multiple clients on a single VM, different storage back-ends and our experience in configuring and running a distributed Archivematica setup.
