Material examined. Hainan: 1 3 (16.29 mm), one chela (MBMCAS 166253), Sanya, Hainan, Nov. 1959; 6 3 (10.66–19.81 mm), 1 Ƥ (12.63 mm) (NCHUZOOL 13244), coll. H.-T. Shih & J.-H. Lee, Sanya, 28 Jun. 2004.

Distribution. Widely distributed from the tropical West Pacific to the central Indian Ocean (Philippines, Hainan in China, Indochina, Borneo, Malay Peninsula, Sulawesi, Thailand, India).

Remarks. In China, this species is only found in southern Hainan in the northern South China Sea (Table 1) and this is probably the northern limit of its range (cf. Shih et al. 2009: fig. 1).
