Description

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from soil is one of the expected benefits for ecosystem services that could be provided by diversified cropping systems. There is a manifold of impacts by crop diversification on processes in soil that influence nitrous oxide production and reduction. Field data and the understanding of the processes is however limited and we expect the effects will be highly dependent on the kind of diversification applied.
