This is a recording of a traditional story told by YZQ. This is a story about a poor man who marries into a wealthy family. The poor man's father in law does not give any money to the newlywed couple and so they remain poor. One day the poor man has an idea about how to deceive his father in law. He goes and buys a horse in a neighboring village; he then takes all bits of gold and silver that he does own and shoves them up the horse's rear end. He then convinces his father in law that he has bought a magical horse that can shit gold and silver. The father in law becomes jealous and offers to buy the horse with money, meats, or grains. The son in law refuses and says that the horse is too valuable to sell. Finally, the father in law offers a large piece of land in exchange for the horse and the son in law agrees. He instructs the father in law on how to make the horse shit gold and silver by patting it on the side. He tells the father in law that if that doesn't work he should strike the horse over the head with a stick. The father in law takes the horse home and is greeted by his wife who asks him why he would buy such a horse. He explains to his wife that the horse is a magical one that can shit precious metals and will make them both even more wealthy. When the horse does not produce precious metals the father in law becomes angry and strikes the horse on the head, killing the horse.
