Description

Multifrequency Electrical Impedance Tomography is a technique for estimating the impedance distribution of a region of interest, for example a part of the human body. It is an imaging technique that distinguishes biological tissues by their unique spectrum of conductivity. Its main advantages are the low cost, absence of ionizing radiation to patients undergoing the equipment and it is a portable equipment and can be easily transported according to the patient's needs. n this work a systematic review was conducted to investigate innovative solutions for the development of a portable Multifrequency Electrical Impedance Tomograph. In order to improve deficiencies related to image quality. It was verified in the analyzed works great use of the modified Howland current source, multiplexing based on Field Programmable Gate Array, MATLAB and EIDORS software. This review shows that there is a large trend in the use of open technologies such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi as well as the development of portable systems.
