Description

  • 88 million tones of Food are wasted in Europe annually
  • Expired Food Products (constitute 25-30% of products that are thrown away or getting lost during the supply chain)
  • Disposable diapers represent 2-15% of total municipal European waste
  • Organic compounds such as fluffy pulp and excreta are included

Life cycle thinking is utilizing the maximum potential of a producτ during its life cycle through techniques like reuse and recovery, considering the environmental, economic and social impact of resource gathering, production and disposal practices An alternative approach for the valorization of both waste streams is the anaerobic digestion process.
