Biological principles of Cydonia oblonga propagation in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

Problems Cydonia oblonga seed and vegetative propagation in Ukraine forest-steppe, in particular have been examined. The seed method isused for the growing of seedlings, to be grafted by scions of culture cultivars of Cydonia. Vegetative methods of propagation – by scions and grafting are proved to be promising. Propagation of clonal rootstocks as a rootstock for pear is studied.
