The Effectiveness of Diode Laser 980-nm in Iraqi Face Hemangioma: Clinical study
Description
Background: Hemangiomas are benign vascular malformations of capillaries, commonly situated on the face. All lasers types are may be effective such vascular lesions.
Aims: To prove the efficiency of Diode laser 980-nm in Iraqi face Hemangioma.
Method: Analyze the value of approach in case of hemangiomas with 980-nm diode laser. Fifteen patients with face hemangiomas [have been suffering from this discomfort disease because it's too difficult to remove by traditional way]. By using diode laser 980-nm presents a proper method for face hemangioma. This clinical study has been carried out at University of Baghdad / Institute of Laser for Post graduate Studies/ Laser Medicine Research Clinics from 15/10/2018 to 15/04/2019. The sessions for each patient will be done each two weeks.
Results: The skin texture was become less elevation, more smooth texture, color of the lesion changed from dark red to light pink. The number of sessions was 12 for each patient every two weeks. And the photo has been taken after three month from last session.
Conclusion: This type of laser was safe and effective modality. The evaluating of the response depending to the patient's satisfaction, the skin texture, smooth, color and the depth of hemangioma and the photo of patients before and after laser and the histogram.
