IMPACT OF MASS MEDIA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ISSUES: A STUDY OF KADUNA METROPOLIS

Abstract
This study focuses on “Impact of the Mass Media in the Management of Environmental Health Issues: A Study of Kaduna Metropolis”. The study adopted the Survey design with the questionnaire as instrument of data collection. One hundred questionnaires were administered on respondents, only 78 were properly filled and returned. The study was anchored on two theories: Cultivation and Agenda Setting. The study reveals that the media play a role of sensitizing the people on health matters. The study recommends among other things that the media need to do more on disseminating messages towards disease prevention.
