           This paper lays focus on the literary skill of Rachel Crothers, who was America’s foremost women dramatist, out and out her plays are concerned with the theme of woman’s freedom and most of her plays have the deep sense of loneliness, restlessness and dissertation due to modern love and marriage. She has beautifully portrayed the conflict between the idealization of love and marriage and depicted the realities of both the institution.
