Description
This repository contains the raw data set related to the following paper “Perception of Synchronization in Singing Ensembles" accepted for publication in PlosOne on June 5th, 2019. The data set comprises an excel file with the responses to the questionnaire addressed to the participants during the perception study. The file has been formatted as follows:
- Column A: participant's code
- Column B: participant's group (0Non experts; 1Experts; 2Performers in the study)
- Column C: Participant's expertise (0Non Musicians; 1Musicians)
- Column D: Singing vs instrumental experience (0 n.a.; 1Instrumental player; 2Singer)
- Column E: Question number (from 1 to 48)
- Column F: Performance condition (0VC, with visual contact between singers; 1NVC, without visual contact; R1, rehearsal 1; R2, rehearsal 2; R3, rehearsal 3; R4, rehearsal 4; R5, rehearsal 5)
- Column G: Performed synchrony (asynchrony value physically measured on the singing recordings)
- Column H: Perceived synchronization (participant's rating of synchronization)
