Description

Industrial sickness is not a new phenomenon, nor is it unique for India alone. There are failures in business and industry all over the world including advanced countries like Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. But it is the magnitude of industrial sickness in India which has been causing concern. While it is recognised that when large number of ventures are launched, along with success In many, there are many casualties too. But for a healthy economy, the loss by way of productive assets and capital sunk in sick industrial units must necessarily remain within sustainable limits.
