Novel intrauterine balloon tamponade systems for postpartum hemorrhage (Video 2)

Creators

Description

Video 2. Kyoto balloon system for the upper PRACE.

The Kyoto balloon system was designed to provide tamponade for the upper uterine cavity. In the video, the second balloon was inserted into the upper uterine cavity through the shaft of the first balloon (300 ml). Then, the second balloon was inflated with up to 200 ml of water. The novel double balloon tamponade system, with one balloon for the lower uterine cavity and the other for the upper uterine cavity, ensures firm and direct pressure to the surface of the upper uterine cavity.
