GERiT - The Database on German Research Organisations (and their PIDs)
Description
The German research landscape is large and varied. The information portal GERiT – German Research Institutions – provides an overview of approximately 25,000 institutes at German universities and non-university research institutions (e.g. Max-Planck-Society), organised by subject area as well as by geographical and structural criteria. The more than 650 standardized subject areas are categorised in three levels in accordance with the classification system used by the Federal Statistical Office (DESTATIS). Every unit gets a DFG institutional ID, top-Level institutions match with GRID ID and WIKIDATA ID. Find out more at www.gerit.org.
